The Supreme Sport(pt 1)
FIRST, thanks Tony for the name idea "The Supreme Sport(Court)", get it? SECOND, I suck at sports and i'm serious about this. I haven't done a single sport for a long period of time. I've either quit (which I regret) or I just don't do it (which I want to do badly). This is dos parts since i've done around maybe two sports (on a team/competitively). WOW. THAT'S A LOT OF ATHLETICISM YOU GOT THERE. Ikr. I'm cool; But to make this a longer post and for me to have more stuff to post, i'm posting ALLLLLL of my sports i've done and why I hate them or like them or want to do them. Anyway, let's begin
1) Baseball - Here are some things you need to know before you continue. The league goes by age groups (usually). This is the order: Farm, Single A, Double A, Triple A, Majors.
I started at around 3rd grade, but i'm the oldest in my family so my parents didn't know that you start at 1st or 2nd grade. So, i'm this really tall dude on kids 2/3 my height (i'm tall, it's a miracle). Of course, lemme repeat this, I'M THE OLDEST IN MY FAMILY, I don't know that I need my own bat and glove to play baseball. First game comes around, I'M NOT PREPARED.
"Josh, it's your turn to bat."
"Huh? Okay."
"Where's your bat?"
"What's a bat?"
That's probably not how it went, but all I remember is them giving me a bat, which is more expensive than you would think. Still talking about Farm league, I just remembered my aim was trash (it still is) and I threw a baseball back to the pitcher, but I didn't say anything so it hit him on the back with a big thump. Heh. Sorry bout that Jon (I think that was his name).
Moving onto the next year...I skipped Single A since my parents saw i'm super old and i'm actually supposed to be in Double A; But I sucked because I had skipped a level (I would suck either way). Didn't really have fun, but eh.
ANOTHER YEAR (Triple A), I start to get the hang of it, but others also get the hang of it and are getting good fast. All I remember is we had a good pitcher and good catcher (or so I thought). We made it to playoffs but lost first round. Everyone was crying and mad and stuff. I didn't show any emotion (because I really didn't care), but I felt bad because I was bad.
More baseball, YAY. Even though I suck, I choose to go onto the highest level for our league. I sucked, but I got carried. 2ND place in regular season and 2ND place in playoffs. Now that I think of it, i'm pretty sure the winning hit in the playoffs was missed by me, shoot.
Next year (and last). I start to get the hang of this and begin to do well. Luckily, i'm more on the younger side, so I made the age cut and got to play another year of majors, whereas others were too old to play another year. In this year, I played well. When I hit the ball, it went faaaaaaaaaaaaaaaar. I even hit a home-run (the only home-run on me team). I also received a bag of Skittles in doing so, but the bag was the BIG bags (around five pounds at least).
2) Basketball - I don't blame you if you skipped baseball because it was hecka long, but let's move on to basketball. I do PYB because no me gusta seriousness when it comes to sports (ccop). I did PYB for around four years I think? I can't shoot straight, but I like to shoot long distance shots. Also, I don't usually feel like trying until when I do. What else.....Oh I can't make my layups. One thing I don't like about basketball is al the bruises you get and how serious everyone is (especially when you don't need to). For example, this one kid passes really hard so he "chucked" a basketball a my head twice in one week. That's pretty much it.
3) Karate/Taekwondo/Jijistu/Self-defense - I don't really know what it is about these things, but I really want to LEARN these types of things. I don't do any of the karate stuff, but I want to (so I can threaten people to beat them up heheheh). I also like to half-brag on things which means to brag without me "knowing" about it. It probably doesn't make sense. Like this post. This is honestly is so random now that i'm thinking about it.
ANYWAY, this was a random post, but I have better posts coming....AFTER part 2 of the Supreme Sport because I gotta brag about every sport I've ever done.
Don't forget to watch the Superbowl on the 3rd since we are talking about sports. Here's something to make up for my bad post. I asked a couple duuds if they were going to watch the superbowl and these were some of their responses:
"What's a superbowl? Is it like a chili-eating contest or something?"
"Yeah, i'm watching it and i'm rooting for the Giants"
"I'm going to eat food"
